1. Designed for animals experiencing respiratory distress, this system provides heated and humidified respiratory gas non-invasively through a nasal prong. Temperature, flow rate, and oxygen concentration can be adjusted according to clinical needs. It also features oxygen concentration monitoring and a heated breathing circuit to enhance patient comfort and respiratory support.
2. The hospital does not need to provide compressed-air cylinders. The device features a built-in turbine that draws in ambient air and adjusts the oxygen concentration according to the selected settings.
3. Provides positive airway pressure to help flush out carbon dioxide, improve oxygenation, and potentially delay or avoid invasive endotracheal intubation.
4. Fisher & Paykel’s original nasal cannulas are manufactured using Waveflex™ technology, providing a soft and comfortable fit. Unlike conventional rigid PVC oxygen cannulas, they help reduce the risk of injury to the animal’s nasal mucosa.
5. An optional battery module and oxygen-cylinder holder are available to support continuous therapy during animal transport.
6. The ROX Index helps healthcare professionals assess whether early endotracheal intubation may be necessary.
